i finally bought
Deerhoof - Runners Four
and it's great.
i guess i'll pick up Friend Opportunity some time in the future...

i guess if thom yorke, wayne coyne, jeff tweedy, kevin barnes, etc, (all songwriters/musicians i like) all dig a band i should check them out sooner.

Yeah, they're phenomenal. Make sure you get your hands on Milk Man and Apple O, too.

now having heard it, i'm visiting Runners reviews and they seem to point to it as much more accesible than previous releases. is this so?

Definitely not for everybody, and I didn't post a recommendation to it either. I've been addicted to them since their single(s) Home Coming & Starlett Johansson. I'm into these lo-fi bands, and the Teenagers are a fresh sound with their perfunctory speech over undeniable melodies.

A mix of The Go! Team, Cut Copy, and another band I can't recall the name of. Good party stuff.

Saw The Teenagers at the Icelandic Airwaves festival last year and it was probably one of the most ridicilous things I've seen. Bad musicians and a bad drumbox
