Might I also recommend that if you are uploading your own stuff don't use Rapidshare because it only lets you download so much stuff per day without a premium account. I know I used Rapidshare for the Muscles album but that was someone else's link. Zshare is my favorite if anyone cares.

sendspace is also a good one

i don't know how i feel about this one, frances the mute was the last time i was truly impressed by this band. i'll probably give it another listen though.

Good call on Sendspace, which also lets you upload up to 300mb...nice.

This is their new greatest hits/singles/unreleased collection. Listening to HWM always makes me feel like I'm in college again since I went to school in Florida and was lucky enough to see them live on a regular basis. They say you can't go back, but sometimes it's nice to visit for an hour or so. Speaking of, I also hate my screen name but I've had it since '03 and now it's like an embarrassing tattoo that I thought was really clever back in the day. Oh well.

I like the sendspaces. This should happen more often.

I'm obviously on board. I didn't want the Feds crashing our party so I thought I would post a couple and see if any of the admins had anything to say about it. I figure if we don't post download links this whole thread is just a big cock tease anway.

It's pretty important however that we don't post them as direct links because that we the traffic can be sourced back to xixax...but let's not be paranoid the internet is a download anarchy at the moment so the Feds wouldn't know where to start anyway...as you Americans say "the gloves are off"...

Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend

.... I realize that the hype about this band is just about to go crazy but god damn this is one great album. Makes me happy and will probably make you happy too. Get it, get it, get it....and go buy it if you like it.

This is one of those that I almost feel guilty for liking. It's like the Afro-Pop version of Juno in that it's fashionable to hate this band but unlike Juno, this doesn't suck total ass. I have probably listened to the entire album 5 or 6 times this week. It will make you happy.

i saw them open for New Pornographers in August and wasn't really impressed.  somebody sent me the Blue CD-R at work and i gave it a listen or two, still nothing.  i liked Oxford Comma but that was about it.  about a month ago when the album leaked i gave it another few listens and it really grew on me.  i don't think its great, but its damn listenable (except for Blake's Got A New Face and Cape Kwassa Kwassa which are skipped EVERY time).  i really like M79, I Stand Corrected, Walcott.

oh and i saw the keyboard player (guy who looks like Max Mingella, add it to the Look-A-Likes thread), twice around town, once on the street going "where do i know that guy" and the 2ndt ime at the Dec 27 showing of TWBB i went to (where i also saw Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono).
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.
