Interesting how they incorporate the photo booth wallpaper/production stills in this promo.
And, wilberfan or somebody that's seen it more than I, correct me if I'm wrong, I think there's one shot in there that isn't in the film or in the previous promos.

the burning rubber shot at the end

The burning rubber is in the film.  I specifically remember that shot because they refused to wait for me and filmed that before I got there that morning.  I had to console myself with photographing the tire burnout marks left on the street.  :yabbse-grin:

Interesting, well obviously you might have witnessed something that wasn't included as you uh witnessed most of the shooting... lol

Which scenes surround or precede it??
I dont even recognize the car lol

Yeah, I think there's a lot of stuff that didn't make the film.  Or at least a lot of details we don't get to see...  (Fingers-crossed for a 3-disc Special Edition next year!)

The car in the burnout is Gary's (Mom's) GTO--the same one we see throughout the movie.  It's the only car that Gary (and Alana) have access to.

The sequence is:  Watching B. Mitchell Reid (radio DJ) read their copy > Run out of the radio station > burnout > Run into Gary's office to start taking phone orders for their new waterbed business > Profit!

Ahh you're totally right. Shows I'm no gearhead.

it looks so sick when Gary takes it out during the tracking handheld shot on Alana

If anyone else, like me, is in the Phoenix area, there will be LP early access screenings on 12/11. Tickets aren't available yet, but it looks like it will be held at several Harkins locations that night.

SPECULATION:

If Anderson wins the Academy Award for best director for "Licorice Pizza", his acceptance speech will end thusly:

"I'm gonna keep tryin' if you guys keep tryin'...let's keep rockin' & rollin', man!"
[Raises Oscar, does karate kick, bows, exlaims "YEAH" a few times]

Drenk

WHAT HAPPENED ON SET THAT DAY.

« Is he here today? »
« Just behind you. Don't look. »
« Okay. Tell me when it's safe to look the other way, Alana. »
« Is he...? »
« What? »
« ...is he eating our vegan sandwiches? »
« What? He's what? »
« Don't look! »
« He shouldn't touch our food! That's for the crew, or dogs belonging to the crew, or cats... »
« False alert. That's just an ice cream shaped like a sandwich, there was a truck earlier today. »
« Okay? Right. Right. I saw that truck. »
« He's on his phone now. »
« Filming us? »
« No. Or he's filming the ground. »
« The ground of our sacred film set!  »
« Fuck. Sorry, Paul. That's not a phone. That's a sandwich shaped like an iPhone. »
« Come on, Alana! This is serious and you're fucking with me! »
« An iPhone Max, at least. »
Ascension.
