is anyone listening to this? please tell me you are. its magnificent.

I think I saw them on Conan first, then some good reviews and then the clips I heard sounded great. I'm completely sold. Unfortunately, it's not available around here, so I'll have to order this and Microcastle online sometime in the near future.

i really can't get enough of it. fantastic from start to finish, and it only gets better with each new listen.

I hope the Kanye I DL'ed the other day was the older version and not the real thing because it's almost unlistenable.  I couldn't make it all the way through the album.

The vocoder should not be used this much and slowing down rap lyrics and trying to sing them just sounds stupid.

Neil

That new Kanye is fucking kindergarten.  You downloaded the real thing, kanye's singing is just bullshit.  I could tell through his previous records he's been dying to sing, and now he thinks he can. give me the equipment he has, and maybe Jon Brion too and i know i could make better music than this. i know it.  i mean fuck, some of the shit i make on garage band sounds better than this.

also I'm pretty sure will i am, and timbaland both tried this along with a shit load of other producers who think they are "songwriters"

Highlight lyrics

"you worry bout the wrong thing the wrong things x 15"

"how could you be so dr. evil"

"some bullshit about about the hearbreak hotel being closed"

"my rain is as far as your eyes can see"

"it's amazing, i'm amazin, it's amazin"

"I just heard some real bad news"

"i don't want no robocop, you actin' like a robocop"

a tinge of radiohead eh? that's a good call, kanye is really pressing the unknown with this shit.  Two hip hop whores are on it, and this is kanye's second cd without jay z on it, bad move...jigga just knew to keep his name off it...hopefully this shit will flop so he never tries this again
it's not the wrench, it's the plumber.

I just needed to post this album artwork. I am in fact listening to the mixtape right now and it's pretty good so far, better at least than the one he put out last week.

kanye's is on another level of gloriousness. i'll listen with headphones tomorrow, but i lllllove the new versions.
i don't feel guilty liking the killers... i might feel guilty if i raped some asshole, but you know, this is pop music. the killers are alright. they fucking wrote when you were young. to be honest, my most anticipated albums for what's left of the year were day & age and 808's.  stefen will never understand that. now watch him be all 'i'm into normal music, yo! you're the one with poor taste' or laughing and not giving a fuck. this is not an attack. i'd write more thoughts but lately i'm too busy and tired to give a shit about the fiery furnaces or all those bands with 'wolf' or 'bear' in their names . for the moment, these albums have the kind of energy  i need for still caring about life.
