I know, it was like stepping in a time machine.  I hadn't listened to them in a while, and when I was at work "Not Your Business" was stuck in my head.

A guilty pleasure these guys are.

i will probably never hear that unless you tell me it's 10 times more amazing than their previous albums. is it?

It is not. 2 times better at most but if you are already inclined not to listen to it then I would advise you stick with that.

If you post something in the Morrissey thread, he'll reappear.

It's definitely shit.

full album out there now.  i hated some of the leaks (esp Welcome to Hearbreak, ugh!) but i actually really like this.  it shows incredible restraint instead of the 'appeal to everybody' schmorgasboard on most hiphop-on-pop albums.  there is a definite Radiohead vibe on the opening track and the Great Expectations sample on RoboCop is awesome!
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

I think I saw them on Conan first, then some good reviews and then the clips I heard sounded great. I'm completely sold. Unfortunately, it's not available around here, so I'll have to order this and Microcastle online sometime in the near future.

I didn't like it that much at first but I've probably listened to it 3 or 4 times today and it's really growing on me. It's one of those albums where upon first listen there are 2 or 3 songs that you think are super catchy and now it's closer to 8 or 9. But I still feel like a massive douche when I pull up to a stop light with this up too loud. I feel like I should really like Boondock Saints or something.

kanye's is on another level of gloriousness. i'll listen with headphones tomorrow, but i lllllove the new versions.
i don't feel guilty liking the killers... i might feel guilty if i raped some asshole, but you know, this is pop music. the killers are alright. they fucking wrote when you were young. to be honest, my most anticipated albums for what's left of the year were day & age and 808's.  stefen will never understand that. now watch him be all 'i'm into normal music, yo! you're the one with poor taste' or laughing and not giving a fuck. this is not an attack. i'd write more thoughts but lately i'm too busy and tired to give a shit about the fiery furnaces or all those bands with 'wolf' or 'bear' in their names . for the moment, these albums have the kind of energy  i need for still caring about life.

Well, I'm glad you finally got your period. I was starting to think I got you pregnant.

My criticism was of the album, not your tastes, girl.
