I still do appreciate how every PTA release remains an event and basically the film event of the year. That anticipation for anything non Marvel or Disney is crucial nowadays. Really only Nolan, QT, Scorsese and Peele to lesser extent compare... but obviously PTA is on a different plane lol

Still surprised at no interviews/quotes/preview from him going into the first official screenings. Don't think that's ever happened. It definitely feels, going into it, the quietest and least "buzzy" it's ever been (since Hard Eight).

I'd say there's plenty of buzz that the public has created for the movie on its own. I do not remember people being this excited even for Phantom Thread. This is going to be an event. However, I am itching for interviews so I also hope that there's some press coming soon.

Really? I think DDL alone (whose films were also an event) brought more pre-screening buzz. Especially when it became his final film.

Vanity Fair is doing the Awards season pre-premiere profiles/interviews and I was hoping we'd have gotten one of those by now. And we won't be able to see/hear any of the Q&A's.

Why are the guild screening Q&A's not recorded and uploaded to youtube? Never made sense to me that they're not filmed.

I think it's fair to say Paul (I call him Paul) has been generally shut off from publicity for a long time.

But don't think that says anything about LP's quality as a film. It's just his modus operandi.
