I mean I won't be surprised at all if this is true but also really don't want it to be true.

Quote"Spencer" will please critics, sophisticated cinephiles, and the Academy crafts branches. The real question is which Greenwood score gets the Oscar nod. And there's a third to come this year from the influential composer, whose violin-tinged score for Paul Thomas Anderson's "Phantom Thread" marked his first nomination. Next up: PTA's tentatively titled "Soggy Bottom."

Wondering if Anne Thompson indeed knows something or she's just guessing, but I really wish it's the former.

Ohhh does it mean they got official press release of Soggy Bottom already? Or at least some kind of preview of it.

Though if it’s official or even if they’re positive about the source, knowing indiewire, they would make it a headline of itself and tweet it 50 times a day.

Both citing indiewire as the source.

Shame it's indiewire, or it could be semi-credible.

kingfan011

Lol if this is actually legitimate or Anne misread Greenwood's quotes in that recent interview that seemed pretty clear in saying that it was in reference to future projects.

WorldofReel needs banned here. He's not legit. He's an alt-right troll who copies whatever he reads from other forums

everybody's running with this story, would be pretty funny if it was all just misreading that original interview

Jeremy Blackman

It's funny. There was nothing in the NME interview even suggesting Greenwood is involved with Soggy. If anything, it's pretty strong evidence against.

Now Indiewire has edited "could be" into their article! Without a correction note. (Good journalism!) So it's just as meaningless as we suspected.

New version of that key sentence, emphasis mine:

QuoteNext up could be PTA's tentatively titled "Soggy Bottom."

It was just a colon before.

jviness02

The complete lack of official word on this to the point where places are reporting conflicting things with no confirmation is officially getting annoying and suspicious.
