Lovely trailer - just a great vibe and that shot (the lighting/texture with the look in her eye) following Alana Haim is dope!

Does anyone know if that shot is in the film?

Im still super sore that the score from the Al Rose Master Trailer "She Wrote Me A Letter" was never released  :yabbse-angry:

Is that Tim Conway Jr narrating?
]

The guy in the trailer looks different to tim conway jr

The actor playing the DJ is playing an actual DJ at an actual radio station at the time  B. Mitchel Reed at KPPC.  Extra resonance for moi, because that was "my" FM station back in the day.  Literally in the basement of the Pasadena Presbyterian Church (hence the call letters).

I find it extra delicious that the copy he is reading is based on an actual Fat Bernie's radio ad.  I have a recording of it I'll share at some point...

But back to Tim Conway, Jr.  I think he's elsewhere in the film...NOT the DJ.  But I'm not eating shit if I'm wrong.  I'm still reeling from the is-or-not Stiller thing.

So there is a scene in the film at the radio station not just something shot for the trailer.

The voice-over from the teaser isn't the guy talking in the first shot. It was a little bit disorienting, I did wonder for a second why he was talking about Licorice Pizza.

My reason for asking is because I think if he is the narrator, then I would think that means PTA probably did this trailer. Seems like something the studio wouldn't go out and do, especially since they're childhood friends

It has the feel of an Al Rose clip. I immediately checked the YouTube channel (I saw it on Twitter first) and was disappointed that he hadn't posted it there, seems like he's given up on old Al Rose.

I like how this trailer is in the style of the trailers for most of Altmans' 70s films, especially the Nashville trailer.

From what I've read, this sounds almost like he's remade Inherent Vice, this time without the Pynchon jargon. He talked about IV before in a somewhat regretful tone. Something to the effect of the film getting more serious than he intended.

Will that be enough for people in terms of accessibility? Hard to predict. Surprising that that Jason guy who's been hyping this up more than anyone didn't seem to love it. I guess it's more accessible than IV, but not as much as say, OUATIH?

Anyone in the area willing to snag one of these newspapers and ship it to Pittsburgh for me? All expenses paid, of course.  :yabbse-grin:

Way off. I'd say it's his most accessible movie.

How about compared to OUATIH?

Alethia

Eh, hard to say really. They ultimately don't have all that much in common, though it's easy to think otherwise without having seen it (I certainly did). I feel like this might play pretty well with general audiences.

Compared to Vice, it's a much more inviting experience overall.

Interesting. You would say OUATIH is more accessible than Boogie Nights? Got to disagree there.
