I'll leave that to others.  I was focused on other things, tbh.  It will take another few rewatches to zero in on things like that...

From the little you saw how do Cooper and Alana look as first timers?

Can those fortunate souls who've seen the trailer confirm the presence of any of the other famous actors so far mentioned: Waits, Reilly, Stiller, Walken? True or false?

Yes

Waits has been confirmed via multiple reactions. Stiller has yet to be mentioned, I won't believe that until I see it

I thought it looked great--but things are going by very quickly.  With three or four exceptions, each shot is probably up only a second or two.  Bowie's blasting, and things are moving.  I wanted to try and remember as much of it as I could (even brought along a little notebook to make notes later) but it all washes over you--there's no time to savor anything.

Instead of frustrating (which I guess it is), I thought it rather brilliant:  It forces you to experience it without being able to really think about it.   When it pauses long enough to let a couple of sequences play out briefly in real time--ear-to-ear grin on this guy.

[edit]  I meant to elaborate on the photography, but it's going by so quickly, there's no time to really study it.  It looks and feels very appropriate to the time and place, but it will take more viewings to really get granular on what's going on.

Thank you for sharing your impressions ! The way you describe it at the beginning (things are  going by very quikly) make me think of the editing of the Inherent Vice trailer. But the part were you intrigued me the most is just after : "things are moving" did you mean that in a Boogie Nights / Magnolia kind of way with lots of camera movements ? I'm so excited to finally see it !

For the lucky few who have seen the trailer already from what you can tell does it  look like multiple interconnected stories like first reported or more like one main story?

Im still scratching my head to how the actor side of the story fits with the political side.

Bennie Safdie could just be the Alfred Molina of Soggy Bottom Licorice Pizza.

True. Was just curious how his character plays into the film is all.

Yes

Did it visually resemble the blue, lit work on his music videos with Haim and Radiohead

Not necessarily, no.  What I meant was images are just coming at us very, very quickly.  As in a cut-cut-cut-cut-cut kind of way.

And this just occurred to me--this is brilliant on another level:  It's not digital, it's not online--it's 35mm only.  It's completely out of your control.  You can't stop it, you can't freeze-frame it, you can't slo-mo it.  You can't run it over and over and over..   What a perfect way to not 'spoil' the movie before it comes out!  No wonder it's not online yet!

Talk about Old School movie marketing!   :bravo:

[edit]  Because everything is going by us so quickly--no definitive judgements can be made about anything, really.  This could serve the film two ways:  Hide its brilliance until it's released in full--or hide it's flaws.  Kind of a cinematic strip-tease.  Here's an ankle, here's a shoulder, here's a hint of cleavage...  "What's that?  You, there, with your tongue hanging out of your mouth... Oh, you want to see more, do you?"

Man, I would LOVE it if there were nothing digital available before release at all!  Maybe with only a week or two to go, you release another trailer--with slightly longer edits...maybe emphasize a different aspect of the film--it's look, or the soundtrack, or a little longer tease of the vibe...or a wordless montage of characters looking off at we-don't-know-what...

Well, it never crossed my mind that I'd see my poster artwork end up here. I'm flattered.  :)
