The reason why I was able to but this many was because all of the films cost either 7.99 or less
so how much did you spend overall, at least $200 right? cos the 7.99  thing can't possibly include the tv series you bought, i find it hard to believe you can buy 4 seasons of any show for 7.99 or less.

where did you buy DVDs for $7.99 to being with? were they used?

To P: No It didn't include the tv series seasons but those prices were pretty low too.
To cdbrad: I spent a day at amoeba in hollywood in the used section, and on amazon used.

My local Suncoast is going out of business, so I picked this up for much cheaper, and soon their prices will lower again so I'll be able to pick up Rashomon, Ran, Seven Samurai and Red Beard for a little under $20 apiece.

...the fact that you'll be expanding your Kurosawa collection is the happy result of a happy occurrence. A good thing all around!

"Lacan stressed more and more in his work the power and organizing principle of the symbolic, understood as the networks, social, cultural, and linguistic, into which a child is born. These precede the birth of a child, which is why Lacan can say that language is there from before the actual moment of birth. It is there in the social structures which are at play in the family and, of course, in the ideals, goals, and histories of the parents. This world of language can hardly be grasped by the newborn and yet it will act on the whole of the child's existence."

Just in case you don't already have High and Low, you should add that to your list, too. It's my favorite Kurosawa.

Hey I didn't know you lived here.  How many people live in CA?  Do we outnumber the NY crowd?  Those guys are everywhere!

I didn't even know it was on DVD so fucking huzzah to that.
Raven haired Linda and her school mate Linnea are studying after school, when their desires take over and they kiss and strip off their clothes. They take turns fingering and licking one another's trimmed pussies on the desks, then fuck each other to intense orgasms with colorful vibrators.

last days of gerry the elephant

I just pre-ordered Domino...

I could probably imagine some people shifting in discomfort after reading that, but let me assure you, I do not think it's a great film by all means, and I wouldn't expect to see it on my top 50 anyway. But, Tony Scott has always been a favorite of mine, and his visual esthetics are very interesting to me (crane cam, over exposure, cross process, etc.) Having said this, the dvd does have some snazy extras to keep me excited.
