One of my favorite movies for a long time. It's an absolutely ridiculous movie, but made with such earnestness that it gets to me every time. And the girls are prettiez. Mischa Barton is lovely here, before her current silly Barbie-doll look, and Piper Perabo goes all out for this role and pours her heart into it, which makes it worth watching. Jessica Pare is okay, but it doesn't really detract from the film.

It's really only the dialogue that's crap. The direction is quite nice. This movie has always been my reminder that if you make films from the heart, they can touch someone in their heart, almost no matter how ridiculous the plot and dialogue can be.

Comes out Jan. 3rd. Pre-ordered.

i also wanted to buy SPORTS NIGHT but we didn't have it at borders. or the other borders store in the city. by the way, borders has a sale on all dvds. buy 3 and get the 4th for free. even box sets. of course the least expensive is free. good deal though. our criterion ollection selection is really good and sometimes cheaper than best buy and list price. happy shopping!!!
