just saw this movie tonight, it was great.  I think pixar's formula is to incorporate very geeky The Far Side-like humour with sentiments.  you know what I mean by that Far Side like humour?   I hope you do 'cause I dunno if I can articulate it more than this.

i just saw this finally and, well basically every positive thing you could say about it has already been said, so i'll just say that i loved it. fucking loved it. ate up every minute with a spoon, one of the best movies i've seen all year. there i said it.

Alexandro

Already seen it twice and wanna see it again, to be honest...

If I were 6 years old, I would be a complete addict to this...couldn't stop watching it...

I'll wait to see if there's a better movie this year, but this is an instant classic. Is the best animated movie i've seen since The Lion King...

Finding Nemo Swims Onto DVD November 4

Buena Vista Home Entertainment will announce Monday that Finding Nemo, the biggest film of 2003 with $312.7 million so far, swims onto DVD November 4.

"Who would have thought? It's pretty wild and we're all pinching ourselves," writer/director Andrew Stanton tells USA Today. The Oscar-nominated filmmaker co-wrote all four previous Disney/Pixar films.

The two-disc "Nemo" DVD will include a Jean-Michel Cousteau documentary of Australia's Great Barrier Reef, where the film is set, a fish encyclopedia, deleted scenes, a cool option that allows you to turn your TV into a virtual aquarium, and a sneak peek at the next Disney/Pixar film, The Incredibles, opening November 2004.

As for Nemo's future, there are no plans for a sequel yet. "We're not going to let the hype influence us into making rash decisions," Stanton says. "If there is a sequel, it will happen when there's a story that's equal or better than the first."

I can't imagine how they would do a sequel.  "Finding Nemo Again"?

'Nemo' Performs Swimmingly in Its Home-Video Debut

Disney had a big fish story to tell Wednesday as its Buena Vista Home Entertainment division reported that eight million VHS and DVD copies of Finding Nemo were sold on the first day on the shelves, representing $150 million in revenue. The figure far surpassed the previous record holder, Columbia TriStar's Spider-Man, which sold 7 million copies on its first day. The previous record for an animated film was Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc., which moved 5 million copies on its first day. Disney said that DVD sales represented 80 percent of the total, VHS, the remainder. Several retailers said that they had sold three-quarters of their supplies before the day was over. The figures were particularly impressive given the fact that only the Circuit City chain was advertising the Nemo DVD for less than the suggested retail price of $19.95. Company executives told Video Store magazine that the movie is on track to become the best-selling home video of 2003 and the top-selling DVD of all time.
