anybody who hates Pixars solely because of Disney is an ignorant motherfucker.
There are shadows in life, baby.

MacGuffin

Incredible!

The animation was jaw-dropping. This movie was funny as hell, and yet had a lot of heart. Don't tell me I'm the only one who cried at the end...or at least will admit to doing so. Highly recommended.

i can not.

I didn't cry at the end, but I did feel a little tug at the tear ducts. And anyway, I cried like a baby at the end of Monsters Inc, so don't feel bad.

Very, very cute movie.  And, yes, it did get emotional at the end.  Pixar never seems to disappoint.

I wish some of Pixar's talent would co-op with Disney's crew.

MrBurgerKing

Only really comes alive IMO during the scenes where Jr. is in the tank at the dental office. Ocean scenes were dull. I also thought it was overly sentimental at the end.

Burger King made the whopper, and it was a huge success. Then they made the chicken whopper, which is exactly the same as a whopper, only it has chicken instead. The chicken whopper is good, but they tried to hard to emulate the original, emotionally involving Whopper.

I'm sorry though, Finding Nemo just felt superficial to me. Monsters, Inc., on the otherhand was much more heartfelt and emotionally real. Anyone else feel the same way or am I typing this like an arrogant prick?

i got very very psyked reading all of you peoples responds to this movie and then i go to look up when its gonna be released in denmark and i find out its november. shit shit shit.

shit.

It's a good movie, my sister really loved it too, but she's a sucker for Pixar. I'm not so much. I liked Toy Story and that's about it, and now Nemo but less.

Anyway, it's still light years better than 2fast2furious I imagine

I saw FN last night and enjoyed it immensely.  I didn't think it was too cutesy or maudlin.  It was very humorous and touching without having me roll my eyes.  The DLP presentation was flawless.  The Knick Knack cartoon they showed before the feature was interesting.  I hadn't seen it before.

sexterossa

it was good. but i hope pixar gets off the standard "journey" plot about a quest to find someone/something with rising conflicts and halarious results. they can keep the halarious results actually.
I dream of birds and sometimes they land and burst into flames. And I dream my teeth are rotting. And when I am awake, I dream of you.

I loved this movie!!!!  Disney should kiss Pixar's ASS!!!!![/img]

I've never been a fan of Disney, but Pixar has always been #1 or at least pretty high up with the big wigs in animation.

My admiration began with Toy Story.  I can even go as far as to say I highly anticipated Toy Story 2, and rather enjoyed it.  I think Toy Story had one of the best soundtracks for a cartoon that I can think of right off the top of my head.

Hah, yeah, I understand where you're coming from.  But to me the films are different enough that I don't find them derivative of each other.  One thing I didn't like with A Bug's Life and Finding Nemo was the huge eyes on the bugs and fish.  Do kids only respond to overtly cute art or something?  That look was appropriate for the Toy Story films and Monsters, Inc.  Pixar seems to be moving away from that for The Incredibles, though, so we won't be seeing any doe-eyed superheroes.

I personally liked the fish better with the big eyes, it gives them each more individual character through expression. And arent they coming out with a movie about Cars? I expect it to be like the Chevron commercials

Ghostboy

John Lasseter's next movie, as a director, will be about automobiles. I think the title actually is simply Cars, at this point. I imagine it will be like the Chevron commercials, too -- only a MILLION times cooler and more awesome, as is usually the Pixar way.
