I like Jacksonville quite a bit, but I wish he would have done better vocal takes on most of the tracks.

new Iron and Wine is going to have to be something new, because to me he's just been treading water on the last few releases.

the new pornographers is a rip from the stream (i think), but it sounds really good.  the first few AC tracks are excellent.  i don't give a shit about ryan adams.

how so? i think he's always changed his sound up pretty well between albums and EPs, especially considering he's known as this bedroom singer-songwriter type dude.

and i agree about the vocals on jacksonville.

i don't have the first album, but i got Endless and liked about half of it. then got the ep and thought it was alright. then heard the calexico collabo and thought that was alright too. i didn't think there was much change between those 3 releases. i like his songs but there's just not enough variation. i'd have to pull them all out and listen again to be any more specific.

(after looking up the image on amazon i discovered these are actually rerecording of their 50's hits, but still sound quite good. i knew Dream sounded different than how i remembered...)
