no i think he's right.  there's something special about going from stardust-era bowie into low-era bowie.  thats how i did it, and thats how bowie did it, and thats how you should do it.  i've skipped over some pretty essentially releases, but i've had so much fun with the ones i do have.  he has some real early gems that are worth checking out too.

I never bought into the Kanye hype. I remember when I hung out with Pete in Boston he gave me this mix cd and it had Jesus Walks on it and I couldn't take the mix cd seriously even though everything else on it was killer.

No self respecting white dude like Kanye. Only people who like Kanye are nerdy white kids who wear t-shirts that say "This IS me gettin jiggy wit it" and it has a shadow posturing against a wall.

I believe Takashi Murakami did the artwork for his album. I don't know why... I hardly doubt he needs the money. Maybe he does, who knows. Also the Daft Punk track as his single... I didn't know what was more lame; the track itself or the fact that Daft Punk agreed to this conjunction 'remix'.

I wouldn't have responded at all about this if a couple of you didn't already mention something about Kanye. I don't want to come off as a music snob.

Neil, the new kanye is pretty awesome. I can't stop playing it. with the exception of 'Drunk & Hot Girls" which is really boring, the album is pretty solid. I'm fuckin lovin the phasers and space piano. word up
