I'm surprised most people don't utilize that... or maybe they do, and I just don't notice... but at Blockbuster and Family Video, if you wait about a month or so after the release date, they have so many copies of the movie, so they sell rental copies for like $9.95, $7.95... and if you're afraid it'll be in bad shape, they offer to clean it for free, and if it doesn't work within 30 days, you can trade it in for another one... I've gotten a lot of great movies this way.
