Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

Were they together in a package or did you buy them separatley and it turned out to be 20 bucks? Because other than having Portman in both of them, they are nothing alike.

They would package them together because Portman is in both of them. Those two packs could care less if they're similar, as long as they sell both copies.

But they wouldn't 'cause they were released by two different studios.

I bought Dog Soldiers tonight for $8 and I'm strangely excited about watching it, however ridiculous it might end up being.

What's the not-crap version?

(I picked this up for $7.95, but if you could point me to a better copy... I think I'd sell this back somewhere else for the price I bought it for and get that...)

thats the edited/rated blockbuster video version, not the nc-17/unrated whatever one that played in theatres.  the other one has more muted colors on the cover.  but i'm sure a few seconds of nudity dont really make the movie any better so you'd probably be better off sending it back and getting a different movie altogether.

like....saw.
