Isn't the fact that it is "rough to watch" what makes it a "great great documentary"? I mean, wouldn't you want to own a film that moved you in some strong way and study how it was possible to do so? I found "Magdalene Sisters" a lot 'rougher' to watch but you better believe I picked that DVD up on the morning it was released.

Plus "Freedmans" was the same price to buy as if I would have rented it a couple times.

dudes, CAPTURING THE FRIEDMANS is my favorite documentary.  when i bought (for 5$) i watched that shit twice in one day.  i love the extras on that dvd.  they're coming out with a sspecial edition of that dvd in july.  holla!!
