The Wonderful and Frightening World of the Fall, This Nation's Saving Grace, and the 458489 a-side and b-side compilations are excellent. I see you're now getting into Gang of Four (or have been into them and are currently spinning their finest moment); if you like that, you're bound to like The Fall, whose music of their prime is looser and odder but similarly catchy in the sly way.

You know how all roads lead back to Morrissey for me? Well, The Fall was one of his most favorite Manchester ("local" for him) groups, so that's how I first got into them. And then they name-checked Damo Suzuki, so.... Thanks again, Mr. Morrissey: You indirectly got me into Can!  :)

We have come to a point where everybody has made about 50 posts in this thread. So I think we all now eachothers taste in music quite well. Therefore I suggest we recommend the CD that we are playing to a Xixaxer we think will enjoy it (the album has to be relatively unknown ofcourse).

It's just an idea....

as long as it continues the rule of one cd per post, and no more than two consecutive posts within an hour of each other, with titles for unclear albums.. sure.

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone here but I'll try to learn the "tastes" of others. So I recommend this to all, soul fans, or if you just need good music- just re-released and sounds great.



And if you dig it, don't forget, there is a volume 2. Great stuff.
