i've never heard them, but they're playing a free concert (coincidentally also with Stephen Malkmus) tomorrow for July 4th in Battery park.  i might go.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

Is echoes any good? i mean, it seems almost sacrilegious to listen to it. Does it flow?

I grew up listening to these guys-  even though this live album contains basically no new music (just a few re-arrangements), it sounds good enough that it's made me a huge fan all over again.  Just awesome.
