This is a couple of the guys from Pedro The Lion, and a guy from Starflyer 59, neither being bands I've ever heard.   But this album is freakin' GREAT-  it sounds like Jeff Tweedy from Wilco, singing on a Magnetic Fields album.  I love it.

pulp - babies

i love this song... a lot.  i just discovered pulp recently through their Hits cd.  i love the first 9 songs and dont care for the last 9.  the best part of babies is the buildup and then when he says "i only went with her cause she looks like you, MY GOD!"  anyone who hasnt heard this song.  please hear it.

Both being bands I dig.  

I don't have much Pedro, but Winners Never Quit is a good story/concept album about a couple of brothers.  One of my favorite album covers.

For Starflyer 59, pick up Everybody Makes Mistakes.  It is one of my all-time favorite albums.  They have a lot of good stuff, but this is the album that, for me, stands above the rest (they have about 9 official albums and a handful of EP's) and with the best of them.
