Deep Discount Sale.  19 Films: $142

Almost finished with DVDs now.  Transitioning to Blu-ray fulltime.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

Does that Sweet & Lowdown have Widescreen?

I got the flipper disc with both widescreen and fullscreen.  I kept seeing the fullscreen only discs at Big Lots for a long time until now.

Good, I'm not crazy! Seems stupid to make a Full Screen only and then a seperate flipper - why not only manufacture the flipper only and everyone's happy? Oh well, New York Stories apparently is only available in Full Screen. =(
I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away.

I'd never heard of this so I looked it up - look what Wikipedia tells us!...

According to Albert Brooks, Stanley Kubrick was a big fan of the film. He tells the story that Kubrick called him after viewing the film and asked "How did you make this movie? I've always wanted to make a movie about jealousy."
"Should I bring my own chains?"
"We always do..."

Haha, Kubrick low balled his opinion sometimes. He wanted to cast Steve Martin for Eyes Wide Shut solely based on his work in The Jerk, but definitely love that Kubrick recommended White Men Can't Jump - one of the best sports movies ever. I will never say it's a film of major ambition, but it's a good movie.
