Yeah, this looks like it combines the crazy period hair and clothes of Anchorman with the cocky athlete that Ferrell has played in everything else.

While I agree with both of you that I've had enough of Will Ferrell sports movies/70s period pieces, I am utterly powerless against the drawing power of Will Arnett and Tim Meadows.

Saw this on Friday night. There are some really funny moments but for the most part it's one awkward joke after another. The best parts are as usual, Will Ferell's ability to improvise lines that make no sense and somehow end being hysterical. This was also a very strange "R" rated movie. Primarily because there was absolutely no reason it needed foul language. It was an easy PG-13 without the "cock sandwich" type of lines. I donno. Not worth the price of full admission. Might be funny for some at a matinee or pub/theater with friends.
