it's a short little documentary that I've just come back from.  it documents these American women who've opened up a beauty school in kabul, to equip afghan ladies, recently freed from the taliban regime.  it's funny and a bit sad.  funny because how seriously these American ladies take themselves and they really think they're healing these women through cosmetics and such, sad because these women have the most heartbreaking and incredible stories.  the documentary pretty much stays on the surface though--it follows the ladies for six weeks and then they graduate and that's it, 76 minutes, but the snippets of testimonies from these ladies' lives and just how vibrant and joyous they are, are very moving.  someday hopefully someone will be able to make a better film about what the film describes as the "stolen generation".  but check it out anyways, especially if you're with a lady.
