Havn't posted in a while - hows it going ;)

Anyway!

I watched SUMMER OF SAM last night

Who has seen it?

Its probably the most Boogie Nights influenced movie I've ever seen.

The camera sliding through the nightclubs and half of the songs are in BG also (but also cause they were popular 70s songs)

The most distinct scene was near the start where the camera follows the car and then keeps following the 2 walking into the night club - almost identical framing to BG.

Great movie though. I don't know why everyone hates it so much.

i resaw it two weeks ago, it's still good.  it's over the top in the sex part, but i guess that's why it works,. i like all the 5000 montages the movie has, the one with baba o'riley,  and specially the one with ben gazara's character 'protecting his hood'.  it's one glorious mess.
