Currently scheduled for release on August 12 is the crime drama Four Brothers. The film tells the story of four adopted brothers who reunite when they come to bury the kindly woman who raised them. Upon further investigation, they find that their foster mother may have been the victim of murder, and these four brothers want revenge.

The titular four brothers are played by Mark Wahlberg (I Heart Huckabees), Tyrese Gibson (Flight of the Phoenix), Andre "3000" Benjamin (Be Cool), and Garrett Hedlund (Friday Night Lights).

John Singleton (Shaft, Boyz n the Hood) directs from a script by David Elliot (The Watcher) and Paul Lovett. Four Brothers reunites Singleton for the third time with singer-turned-actor Tyrese after their efforts in 2001's Baby Boy and 2003's 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Three out of the four cast members made crappy music and are now actors. This really seems below Wahlberg. He has usually been very good at picking scripts so maybe he knows something we don't. But Singleton is trash to me nowadays. Wait and see, ya know?
