yeah AICN had that up and mentioned it resembled NightBreed.  it does look weird as hell.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

this looks a lot more epic, which surprises me... Ichi felt so damn personal.

Should be good though :) Let's hope it comes near me before DVD.
