Ghostboy

I caught this the other night (it's a new film directed by Mr. Show's Bob Oedenkirk, for those who didn't know). It's pretty good...it's sort of like Neil LaBute-lite. It would work better as a play -- the miniDV photography is really quite poor, and you have to look past it to appreciate the performances and dialogue. It's pretty well written and performed, although the apperances by David Cross and Jack Black were too self serving.

HOWEVER, Melora Walters is in it, and she gets one scene towards the end that is just great -- the rest of the cast is good, but she just puts them all to shame with this one monologue. It's great to see her in good form again, even though her part is tiny (although I think it's the most she's been on screen since Magnolia).
