Did I just get cock-blocked by Bob Saget?

His teeth distracted me.

I just saw this.  It was very good.  And yes, the teeth were distracting.  Someone said, it's the anti-war film that moore wanted to make, or wishes he could make...the thing is, i think, is people want topical over universal.  moore's film is both, but people will stand up and pay attention moreso if they can apply it directly to what's going on now and that's what moore's doing.

the same can be said with this film, but some people may or may not look into it that much or ignore the fact that the threat in this film is still relevant to today, or perhaps I'm wrong; but this film wouldn't generate the same publicity because it's of the past, and the past is often ignored or deemed irrelevant.

this film is definitley as effective as moore's, not so emotional or powerful, but it keeps your attention and really lets you know how little we are (or at least were) informed; and mcNamara still has great passion in him at 80 and seems to have acquired some wisdom, which makes it very engrossing, along with the great footage tagged to it.  there isn't too much that i can add that hasn't already been stated, because i had to wait for it on video (then forgot about it and just now rented it).

watching it again, I don't think it was that anti-war or subversive.  he had a lot of insights into two American wars, sure, and mentioned a lot of deaths, but he really didn't apologize and the film never really illustrated the horrors of war.  he pretty much just said that war is a complicated mess.  I think a lot of liberals come out of that movie thinking he's said what we wanted him to say, but he didn't.

I totally agree... I was expecting much more.
