i thought the title sequence to Catch Me If You Can was really good. it reminded me of some of the sequences Saul Bass did for Hitchcock. Vertigo and Psycho are amazing. recently while reading the booklet in my Vertigo Soundtrack CD, i also read that he did the sequences to 4 of Scorsese's films before he died (interesting that MS also had Bernard Herrmann's last score with Taxi Driver).

anywho, wonder what your favorite are. oh, to be more specific, i mean "arty" sequences like the aforementioned. i liked Bang, Bang playing over Kill Bill.....and the freeze frame in King of Comedy is really great too, but i'm referring to Saul Bass-esque sequences.

I think Tarantino and Fincher have the market cornered on great title sequences-- at least in terms of contemporary title sequences.

i forgot about Se7en, that's really good......and then the Jackal kinda redid it........and The Royal Tenenbaums characters looking into the camera is another one......The Graduate (which QT stole for Jackie Brown)

so are any of these you mention like the Saul Bass sequences?......i.e; made from animation and/or drawings?
