Anyone know of a release date for this or anything else interesting??

I have always like Mike Figgis.....I haven't seen Hotel (is it any good), I kinda like Timecode, but more for the technical asspects versus the story, plot, characters.  I know he is still playing around with DV a lot and I am curious to see if it will actually turn out....

MacGuffin

Cast: Dennis Quaid, Sharon Stone, Stephen Dorff, Juliette Lewis, Christopher Plummer, Dana Eskelson, Kristen Stewart, Ryan Wilson.

Director: Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas, Time Code, One Night Stand, The Loss of Sexual Innocence; he's also got Hotel and The Battle of Orgreave coming)

Screenwriter: Richard Jefferies (1992's The Vagrant; he's also working on drafts of 'The Silver Surfer' and 'Tron 2.0', in development).

Premise: A couple (Quaid, Stone) and their son (Wilson) and daughter (Stewart) relocate from the city to the country, where they discover that their dream home, a sprawling farmhouse, is more of a nightmare, as the previous owner (Dorff) returns from prison... and wants his home back. Badly.

Anyone see Hotels???...I am curious about it

ok....I saw a review of this on Ebert and Roeper...so I am assuming this hasn't come out yet....anyways, I am probably the only interested in this, but it seemed a lot like Timecode...cool idea, bad movie.....

I give Figgis credit though for trying....

looks like an interesting movie, although it didn't do too well on the rotten tomatoes meter.

Well, you know what that means...  Germans love David Hasselfhoff.

Oh my, what a stinker! In my top five of bad films for the year. No suspense, falls in the cliche of fake scares, and you are so many steps ahead of the characters. Was like a poor-man's "Cape Fear", but really poor; destitute.

oh god, you are so right. please, anyone reading this, NEVER watch this ever in your entire life.  TERRIBLE.  NO suspense, just awful cliches, (and they didnt even have the good sense to throw in a damn red herring or plot twist!)  and i cant remember a preview more misleading than this one.  the trailer which i thought was pretty good describes the movie like a supernatural creepy house scary movie and i dont even know what the hell they were trying to do with it, but it was awful. just awful, amend my bottom 10 list to put this up towards the top.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

 there was no indication to me whatsoever that this movie would be good. at first watch of the trailer i knew it would be bad. my girl wanted to see it, until i convinced her how incredibly horrible it would be. i go with my gut and i am almost always right on. word of mouth usually gets me to see stuff i normally would not. there was no buzz on this bee. there isnt a single person in this film that anybody cares about (aside from juliette lewis), namely me. i am glad that all of you who saw it and hated it have confirmed my suspicions. i have a friend that use to "ban" movies. i never actually did it, but if i were to "ban" a movie...i would ban Cold Creek Manor.  maybe if somebody cool like zemeckis would have written and directed it with a cool cast i would have said hell yeah....but dennis quaid, sharon stone, and stephen dorff? ill pass. maybe it could have been a sleeper, but obviously it was not.
