is it me or did Justin timberlake confuse Nirvana's  "smells like teen spirit" with Boston's "more than a feeling?"

I mean honestly, i don't even know what the fuck he is playing, granted the quality is horrible, but he's not even playing in the correct area on the guitar.

..."the right area of the guitar", if been searching for that palce all my life. I think he's laying the song in B...Nirvana played it in F, if I remember correct.

Smells like Justin Timberlake:

E--7---7--7--x--x--x--x-----------10---10--10--x--x--x--x------------]

Yep.  That is in fact how a castrato would play Teen Spirit.

I'm a little curious about the "h" string, though.  I think I want one.

I didn't want to say this...but the high h string is an elite tuning that only few great musicians know about...Some of the list includes, Bruce Springsteen (only on devils and dust), Justin Timberlake, and many others...i attempted the tuning once, but then i immediately got cancer...so i suggest you just forget about

No. You are very, very white.

As a sheet.

Wait, don't sheets come in black too?

i stole that the other day after seeing her on the av club random rules.  Crowd Surf Off A Cliff stands out after 2 listens.

at first the whole thing ran together, this is a problem i find with a lot of albums don't recover from. i want to be cool, i want to hear what kids are into, but after a few listens wasn't The Mountain Goats album still just one big track that went nowhere? maybe it's not a problem and i just don't like the one long song. unfortunately not everyone can be ween..

EDIT: during third listen, Winning, Nothing and Nowhere, and Reading in Bed also stand out. and Mostly Waving cos the band seems to have woken up. stealing new beck now.

I think that might have something to do with not being familiar with the band. A lot of times when I'm just starting to listen to a band, all of their songs sound the same to me (New Pornographers, Sufjan Stevens, Elliott Smith, Iron & Wine), but then I get used to that band or artist and they stop sounding the same. I mean, on Get Lonely, "Wild Sage", "New Monster Avenue", and "Woke Up New" are all pretty different sounding. But what do I know.

Was just about to buy that ®edlum... should I continue and purchase it?

If you go to midlake.net you can listen to a few full tracks. I would say definately 'yes' but go there and listen to "Roscoe" - it should seal the deal.
