Gomorrah was overrated,  the best thing about it was the poster.

this looks promising.

i thought it was a minor miracle, and why it's flown so under the radar is beyond me

imo jagernauth's playlist review misses some key points. the way he assigns the movie's goal as being an "examination on the artifice of reality programming" strikes me as indicative of his own reductiveness. it'd be like if he said psycho was about bad hotel management (my fav joke btw)

he basically confesses to not puncturing this movie's interior when he says "in an economically struggling Italy, 'Big Brother' is seen as an instant path to fame and glory, and somewhat inexplicably, Luciano grows obsessed with getting on the show"

talking about that word 'inexplicably' and i wonder if it's the fault of viewers and their own mania with reality tv that they can't see past the reality tv backdrop and into this character

as to say, i think the wiring needed to illuminate the character is in the movie. of course a lot of the wiring is reality tv related, but the problem would be thinking the main circuit is reality tv. of course it's fucking not
