Maybe I'll just watch the Disney version again..

This one looks even worse than the Tarsem one! There's not even any dwarfs.

This is a story where the use of dwarfs doesn't immediately make it appear like a cheap attempt at Gilliam/Herzog/Lynch-like weirdness, but where it's actually justified. What kind of moron would pass on an opportunity like that?  :yabbse-grin:

theron/stewart > roberts/collins.

i'm going with this one.

tarsem is a bit of an idiot savant, i think everyone should know that by now.. the fall had just about the worst acting of all time, it's like he doesn't understand what "emotion" is. this shit trailer at least has a consistent tone, and theron is actually attractive/believable as someone who fears the cuteness of stewart. and i think there are short statured men in lieu of actually little people in the role of the dwarves, probably to make the fights a bit more believable.

the director Rupert Sanders is pretty good too.. check out some samples of his work, especially the short film based on Charles Burns' Black Hole comics.

dude, thanks for that. I read that book about a year ago and had no idea this existed. Thanks a ton!

the latest trailer has more money shots and is my favourite trailer of the year so far:

Prometheus who?
under the paving stones.

Uh, what?  Both this and Prometheus look like Ridley Scott films.  I think we all know what a Sir Ridley Scott film will be like.
