Pretty excited for this. It's played at festivals but distribution plans at the moment are unknown. These guys at Borderline Films (Sean Durkin, Antonio Campos, Alistair Banks Griffin) seem to be pioneering a new wave...taking cues from Michael Haneke. The trailer for Two Gates of Sleep also reminds me of Andrei Zvyagintsev's 2007 film The Banishment, which I love to death. Here's the trailer for that movie for comparison http://youtu.be/xTBmawqoALk

This is playing in New York starting April 1st, I think, at the ReRun theater in Williamsburg. I really really want to see it.

Actually, a friend of mine has a play opening off broadway but at a pretty huge theatre. Might want to check out Tribeca. Anything I need to see? I smell a redirect.

damn it! i missed it. also, this is the first i've heard about them playing movies at ReBar. it turns out this theater isn't in williamsburg-- it's in DUMBO, a floor below some crappy reality tv/film company i used to work for. damn it.

also, while you're on your new york city vacation, hit me up. i'm leaving my job at the end of the month but for now i work just above canal street, so we should go get lunch if you're in tribeca.

Obviously what you are doing right now is called (in my upcoming book of psychology at least) validation. I think it's a normal thing to do. People will reply, say anything, and then you're gonna do what you were subconsciently thinking of doing all along.
