Could've been worse, could've been better. I think the main problem lies in the editing. Didn't read the book, but feel like the characters are there, although Gordon-Levitt plays his a bit over the top. His character is supposed to be, but the performance felt too... fake. Lane and Rourke are the ones to watch here. Nice that it used the updated Cape Fear approach and made the couple not on the best of terms while being stalked. In fact, their contemplating divorce was the most compelling part of the film.

It's really a shame, and pretty bizarre, that they cut Johnny Knoxville's character from this. There is absolutely no reason for this film to have been as lifeless as it was.

Rourke and Lane were reliably dependable, sure... but what a disappointment otherwise.
