I made a topic of this a long time ago on the old forum and figured it was right to do another here and show the revised list (everyone has a revised list when it comes to any top ten list).

**EDIT** The list I had came from a year ago. To say the least, I highly disagree with all the choices I made. A very very old thread to return like this!

Interesting list, like all of those movies, but haven't seen Grave of the Fireflies or The Sweet Hereafter or Princess Mononoke.

Tough thread, I could list 10 movies I love but I find it near impossible to make a ranking list.

I've gotten a lot of people that have said Princess Mononoke is overrated to be where it is on my list but for me, it is what a lot of people put Star Wars up to be, so you could say it is my Star Wars since I never really cared for any of the movies.

Grave of the Fireflies hasn't been seen by most people on this entire forum but is one of the most simple and poetic films I have ever seen, and is easily the best film in the last 25 years for me.

Interesting though, that both of these movies belong to the category of anime but transcend what people have made that genre to be with only knowing Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z or whatever.
