Quote from: cronopiowhere do you people get the money?  seriously...!

To be perfectly honest, I seriously doubt half of these people are actually buying any of the shit they post.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for posting this, but I think most people agree with me.

really?  cause that'd be a pretty weird thing to do.  do most people agree with him?  i kind of assumed people would post what they bought and not be faking it or something.  are people faking it over in the Now Playing thread to as to what they think is cool to listen to as opposed to what theyre actually listening to?
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

Can we save a whole bunch of space and just say EVERYONE will be buying KILL BIL VOL. 1 tomorrow?

Thanks much.
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free, silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands, with all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves, let me forget about today until tomorrow.

I won't be. And I oh so want to see everyone who bought Kill Bill post that same Amazon.com (or whatever DVD cover pic).

Hahah.. that's okay. I've been influenced by meatwad, godardian, slomb, and ghostboy to purchase the Strangers With Candy DVDs. And slomb single-handedly forced me to get the Upright Citizens Brigade DVD too.

I was just indulging in some SWC this weekend (I've seen every episode dozens of times by now, but they seem to just keep getting funnier). Hope you're enjoying 'em.

Upright Citizens Brigade is on my list... I really like Amy Poehler and am glad at least she got picked up for SNL (on which I think she shines most any time she's onscreen).

BTW, I never post a single item here unless it's not only ordered and on its way, but actually been couriered through the mails and arrived into my hot little hand. No cheating from me... and I wouldn't think that's the usual thing here at all; it actually makes no sense to presume so. I think if people were just posting what they wished they had, every one of us would be posting dozens of titles a day.

"Lacan stressed more and more in his work the power and organizing principle of the symbolic, understood as the networks, social, cultural, and linguistic, into which a child is born. These precede the birth of a child, which is why Lacan can say that language is there from before the actual moment of birth. It is there in the social structures which are at play in the family and, of course, in the ideals, goals, and histories of the parents. This world of language can hardly be grasped by the newborn and yet it will act on the whole of the child's existence."

no, i thought siliasruby was faking it for a while, then i stopped caring.. ppl tend to lie about other things instead, especially what they did as a kid. i've only posted my purchases in this thread once, and that's cos i've only bought dvds once in a whole year. i think myxomatosis, like myself, is just jealous that everyone gets to hav all this stuff.. Sunrise made me jealous, to name a recent occurence.

Did you order season 1, 2, or both?

i will admit to a little cheating here.  i will usually post when i've ordered an item after the thrill of the spend, and not a few days/weeks later when it arrives.  ill be happy to take picture of the items when they get here for anyone who doubts my large purchase.

I just bought Schizopolis for $29.99 (!!!) at Best Buy.  Don't feel like posting the picture.  I also checked on my order at Borders for sex, lies, and videotape, which still hasn't come in yet.  >:

Side note, at Best Buy, KILL BILL IS ONLY $9.99 when you buy another Tarantino flick.  That is, it's two for $20.  I highly recommend you check this out if you want Kill Bill and are lacking in the other Tarantino flicks milieu.  This is a great deal, considering how expensive Pulp Fiction, and especially Jackie Brown, were at one time.
