Am I the only one with a phobia for used DVDs?

How much? I had a copy of this in my hand awhile back at dvdplanet. It was $7, but I didn't pick it up and had no idea it went OOP until I finally tried to order it and it was gone.   :(
My life has taken another turn again. The days move along with regularity, over and over. One day indistinguishable from the next. A long, continuous chain. Then suddenly, there is change.

Not too much at all actually, 21 dollars and some cents with only a little competition bidding wise if I remember correctly. I'd definitely keep an eye on ebay and also amazon (who can have a great used-dvd system depending on what dvd's your talking about) and you should find a copy for as much if not maybe a little less than what I payed in no time. I didn't come across too many expensive prices at all for PLF.

I used to have one too but when you're talking $3 vs $20, and the only difference between them is that the wrapper is off of the $3 ones, hell I ain't prejudiced!

Your Friends and Neighbors ($14.99) - I've heard great things about Neil LaBute.  Netflix doesn't have this one so I thought, "what the hell."  I love simple little films like these that you could watch over and over again.  Hope this one fits the bill.

Swingers ($12.99) - I wasn't expecting much at all when I first rented this, but it really surprised me.  It's probably one of my favorite comedies, so it's about time I picked it up.  Highly recommended.

Killer's Kiss ($12.99) - Kubrick's second film.  Only 67 minutes.  Can't wait to see where things started for him.

I was seriously eyeing Schizopolis, Leaving Las Vegas, Last Tango in Paris, and 25th Hour, but I can't spend $36 on a blind buy (Schizo), or $26 on 25th Hour, no matter how great it is.  And the other two are just too depressing for now.  Maybe later.

""Money doesn't come into it. It never has. I do what I do because it's all that I am." - Morrissey

"Lacan stressed more and more in his work the power and organizing principle of the symbolic, understood as the networks, social, cultural, and linguistic, into which a child is born. These precede the birth of a child, which is why Lacan can say that language is there from before the actual moment of birth. It is there in the social structures which are at play in the family and, of course, in the ideals, goals, and histories of the parents. This world of language can hardly be grasped by the newborn and yet it will act on the whole of the child's existence."

it's good. transfer is razor sharp. and there's a good 1 hour+ documentary that's quite informative. i have yet to listen to the commentary but ridley's are always nice, and ted griffin is pretty funny. (there's a funny part in the docummentary when he's all like "yeah i was excited to finally work with ridley until i found out we'd be shooting in l.a. I mean, this guy has shot in morocco, florence, maltla, and all these exotic places, and the one time i get to work with him, we're shooting in the san fernando-fucking valley." hahah.

here's a question for yah; they manage to pack said one hour docummentary, a brilliant transfer, a trailer, and a commentary all on one disc; meanwhile PDL takes up two just for a damn commercial.

what are the folks at warner bros. doing that sony doesn't know about?  hmmm?

PDL has a DTS track that takes up a lot of disc space and could suffer the image transfer.

Before you make that comparison, remember WB is still using snapper cases.
