Sorry if this has already been posted....I thought this was pretty interesting....Here is a short summary of what this movie mockumentary is about...Warning spoilers...
Hollywood comedian/actor Pauly Shore loses everything: his house, nobody in Hollywood wants to represent him, he moves back home with his mom and is now parking cars at the Comedy Store. Then one night when he's up in his mom's loft, a dead famous comedian appears who tells Pauly to kill himself cause he'll go down as a comedic genius who died before his time. Pauly then fakes his own death, and the media goes crazy. Celebrities are talking about him on MTV and girls are fighting over him on Jerry Springer. It's everything that he wanted...his plan worked. A week or so later the LAPD is tipped off about his whereabouts and they break down the door of the seedy motel room that he's hiding out in and throw him in LA County's celebrity wing.

Oh the disappointment some will feel when they find out this is not an obituary thread.

Pauly Shore is an icon of the 90s MTV generation for sure.

Also, I think Son in Law is hilarious.

Pauly Shore as writer/director?  Wow.  I mean...wow.

The concept wrote itself.

Yet it must be stated that the reviews for this are great.  It had a 100% rating at rottentomatoes.com last time I checked (probably a bit lower now, but still high I bet).  I'm definitely interested.

Yess, matt35 is right. All the reviews for this mockumentary are pretty positive.

man, America really has to get over this "celebrity knows he's a hack so therefore he's funny" thing real soon.

Honestly, I was a bit let down.

This showed at SXSW a couple of years ago... I didn't see it, but I saw Pauly Shore... there were a lot of late-twenty something ladies acting like early teen girls around him.  The reviews were decent.

He's going to be here showing it in the next couple weeks or so... I'll probably go.  The trailer looks funny-ish.

Yeah. I saw this from a recommendation from a trusted friend of mine. Overall I didn't like it. It was funny at points, but certain things (overuse of celebrity cameos, annoying character used after his "death" etc). A dissapointment.
