If you don't think this song is the greatest song ever, I will fight you.

This beats the use of this song in Rules of Attraction!

If that video's on MTV as much as that Usher video is, I will be very happy :)

Check out Thursday's show (July 8th).  Adam McKay talking about Anchorman, Will Ferrell and SNL.  Hysterical.

I caught most of it yesterday.  I didn't know anything about McKay.  His fake suicide story was really funny.  I'm seeing Anchorman tonight.

it's pretty good. all the cameos stole the film SPOLIERSwhen jack black punts the dog off of the bridge, i was in total shock, it was hilarious....the battle scene was funny. and surprisingly, i laughed at ben stiller/SPOILERS
Did I just get cock-blocked by Bob Saget?

im not saying its bad, but you cant even compare it to  network -- comedy vs. drama.

this will be a modern day "fletch" at best.

I liked it alot and it had some fantastic cameos but some (actually most) of the humor, it seemed to go for the "so stupid it's funny" goal. Which is fine by me.

I feel like this is blasphemy, being obsessed with Will the way I am, but it actually wasn't quite as funny as I thought it would be....I laughed uproariously at quite a bit, and I still loved it and will see it again, but I'm wondering if there was maybe too much plot. Also,  I didn't think the cameos (other than JB and TR) were as funny as they could have been. Everything with Will Ferrell and the dog had me dying with laughter, though, and the dog talking to the bears was brilliant. I keep thinking about the brilliant last bit at the end of the credits, the clearly improvised scene that is just so hysterical, and it made me think that the 'sequel' that they'll be putting out on DVD might even be funnier than this movie.

yeah i hate when movies do that.  but this movie was pretty damn funny.  the thing i thought was interesting was even in most wacky comedies they are supposed to resemble somewhat real life on planet earth but this movie clearly had no interest in that.  either because of a concious choice by the director, (or his inexperience) he didnt reign in any of hte supporting characters performances and as you can see, pretty much let everyone run as wild as possible regardless of how far it strayed from resembling anything near reality.  the only concern was just : is it funny?  and if it was, it went in.  which made for a pretty ridiculous film that seemed like a bunch of sketches strung together than an actual movie that had an interest in telling a story with a plot, etc. but maybe thats good?  it was sort of like the comedy equivalent of charlies angels full throttle was to an action comedy.  so, its either bad storytelling or some form of new cinema depending on how you want to look at it.

it was funny as hell though, and besides applegate who wasnt given much to do, everyone in the movie was pretty funny.  SPOILER if they had switched tim robbins with owen wilson it would've had the whole new comedy dream team in the same film! they always seem to be one or two awayEND SPOILER
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.
