He puts on a good show. I've seen him a couple times at Summerfest (big music festival in Milwaukee).

I've only recently become a fan.  Would you say this is his best album?  And is "Losing Lisa" on it?  A friend sent me that song, and I think it's effin' brilliant.  I want to get some of his music, but I used to hear Ben Folds Five on the radio and while I liked it, it didn't get me going like that song does.

Losing Lisa is on it, and as far as Ben Folds goes, it's his best.  Fear of Pop was OK, but this album was amazing.  Now, the Ben Folds Five were wonderful.  The Five really added to his sound, they've got a lot of songs that would be lost on a radio crowd (Don't Change Your Plans, which is a great song, was originally written to be 9 minutes long with this long insturmental intro, but the producers didn't think it would sell.  A lot of creative differences based on how it would sell forced the Five to undergo a lot of restrictions like that..)

I could PM you with some of his better stuff, if you'd like.

He puts on a damn good show.  I saw him last year and he was accompanied by Guster and Rufus Wainwright and it was a damn good time.

Do.

Heh!  That's a hell of a lineup, there.  Acoustic pop lives, it seems.  I didn't even know Guster was still around!  Their "Don't Fear The Reaper" cover on the original Scream soundtrack is great.

Breathe by Anna Nalick.  Need to get my hands on her album "Wreck of the Day".  Sounds like Jewel used to, only better... less affected.
Classic.

Funny you should mention that song...I just heard it today and really liked it.  You're right, it reminds me of early Jewel as well.  When you get a hold of it, let me know how the rest of the album is.
