The Stooges - Raw Power

Great record.

Slightly off the topic, it's funny that someone with a PTA avatar would start off page 82...

This is something that happens.

Scary Monsters (esp. "Teenage Wildlife" and "Ashes to Ashes") and Raw Power are great picks.

Me (apropos of the "breakup songs" thread):

""Money doesn't come into it. It never has. I do what I do because it's all that I am." - Morrissey

"Lacan stressed more and more in his work the power and organizing principle of the symbolic, understood as the networks, social, cultural, and linguistic, into which a child is born. These precede the birth of a child, which is why Lacan can say that language is there from before the actual moment of birth. It is there in the social structures which are at play in the family and, of course, in the ideals, goals, and histories of the parents. This world of language can hardly be grasped by the newborn and yet it will act on the whole of the child's existence."

Yes i know most people haven't seen "CAMP" or even want to for that matter, but If you go to http://www.ifcfilms.com/camp and click on their soundtrack preview, which by the way gives you about 3 of the cds best songs to listen to IN FULL. The amazing thing about the soundtrack is that it is performed by the actors themselves. All of the actors being about 16 and 17. They have stellar voices and you should check out the movie, it is out on DVD. ...I registered a long time ago on xixax but haven't used it much...apparently i made a mistake by posting a new topic with this...MY B!!!

I think so, too- it's one of my all-time faves. Raw Power would've been just as apt a title for this one as it was for Iggy's, but he beat Peej by about 20 years.  :)
