Not really false. Specially not with people on the internet its always nepotism in regards to Hollywood. Which i find funny aswell because people will complain about it yet still watch films with kids who have famous parents.

We're talking about the systemic issue of nepotism in Hollywood, though, no? You're taking it individually because you're concerned about the feelings of X who doesn't suck in some movie, who cares? This isn't about X when X is mentioned in relationship with the reason why X is a movie star.

The idea is that opening any industry to more people is always good. Especially in the arts, I'd say.

Im not ignoring people who should have a job in a certain field yet if a person no matter who they are related too is worthy of the job  theyshould get that type of job too. If my parents were actors that shoudnt mean i cant be one if i wanted to. As long as i wasnt getting handouts and not working for the jobs then whats the problem.

There is nepotism that SHOULD exist without it being looked down upon. At the end of the day we are all related to some degree so lets chill the fuck out and stop complaining.

What's the big deal? Billionaire Steven Spielberg's daughter is directing a short movie, wherever did she get the money and contacts to do that?

Everyones probably forgotten now but one of his other daughters had a music project a good few years ago now and got tons of press at the time in publications like Pitchfork; now wherever would she get the resources to suddenly appear in Pitchfork with her shitty music project, I for one am gobsmacked.

Of course having steve as your down will help. What im getting at is if the people are talented then they will last and should keep working regardless of who they are related too.
