I still don't believe it until I see them with my own eyes.

That Playlist article as usual doesn't mention any sources for the casting. They could just be using Wikipedia or other articles like the rest of us.

He's doing his Irish accent from Wild Mountain Thyme.

Ironically Christopher Walken's Irish accent was better than Jamie Doran's.

Unless they are secret cameos, I would think Stiller, Walken and Reily would pop up in the trailer and we would have heard that from those who saw the trailer. Inherent Vice sold every big name, despite most of them having two or so brief scenes. Consider me a skeptic.

Yesterday we didn't even know the title. With all the secrecy, those cameos not revealed in the trailer are not that unlikely, are they? John C. Reilly is more then likely. Walken would be cool. And Waits. And maybe someone else. And Penn. And even Stiller. Out of the sudden (?) it may seem more high-profile than expected.

Edit: and that song in the trailer.

On some level, we have everything we need to know to coast into Nov/Dec:   "Boogie Nights", "romantic", "coming-of-age", "cameos".

That's more than we knew about Phantom Thread:  "fashion designer", "BDSM".

Fair enough and solid points. However, I won't believe it until I see it.

What are the chances we get a Babish video where he attempts a literal licorice pizza in the next year?

His Phantom Thread attempt looked rubbish.

Agreeeed. That did not look like a good Welsh Rarebit recipe. (I made a Welsh Rarebit for the first time after Phantom Thread came out, and it was delightful. The whole family loved it. I didn't do the whole Hungry Boy breakfast because we're vegetarian, but I do highly recommend putting the time in to make a properly good Welsh Rarebit.)

He admitted that including modern technology in a narrative was a challenge. It would be phony to pretend that cellphones don't exist.

That's cool, do you remeber by any chance  where he said that?

Drenk

I'm pretty sure it was during the promotion of Phantom Thread: I couldn't find the interview, though.
Ascension.

I saw it, it's great. Be excited.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

Um, I assume not in NY - right? (Aren't you a NYer?)
