I don't see what's nsfw about that trailer. Am I the only one seeing a skin coloured body suit?
under the paving stones.

Posting on my phone so I'll keep this short for now, but I just got out of a Fantastic Fest Secret Screening of this and it was so different from what I expected and I loved every minute of it.

Good to hear. I can't wait for it.
Falling in love is the greatest joy in life. Followed closely by sneaking into a gated community late at night and firing a gun into the air.

samsong

slick and schlocky almodovar.  a pretty immaculately constructed sex thriller with some high-minded morality that doesn't work, mostly because most of the film's kicks are to be had when it's at its most depraved.  or maybe i'm just fucked up.  there's a conflict of interest here that prevents this from being really great.  it's a doozy to watch though.  when the film's at its best, almodovar seems to be channeling de palma more than franju or whoever else, and had he gone full force in that direction this could've been a masterpiece.

good god does the camera love elena anaya.  room in rome looks retarded but i may see it strictly to see her on the big screen again.

Blu-ray on March 6, 2012.

And yeah Room in Rome ain't great but for what you're looking for samsong I think you'll be happy.

Jeremy Blackman

This is basically everything I love about Almodovar, with the moral intensity cranked up a bit. It feels like Talk To Her in that way, but better.

For those who expected this to be a departure, well, it's definitely not. It may be the anti-Volver, for example, but it's 100% Almodovar.

I hope he keeps this edge.

I almost agree with samsong that it should have gone further, but I think that might have deflated some of the tension, and it would have felt more like Oldboy or something than Almodovar. He can be dark, but he needs to keep that sweetness.
