This is a trailer for The Final, a feature film the production company I work for wrapped at the end of March.  I was the assistant editor, and I also helped cut the trailer.  We shot it on the RED One.

Looks awesome Rav. Very creepy. Can't wait to see it!

aw, banjo players always get a bad rap. :(
We often went to the cinema, the screen would light up and we would tremble, but also, increasingly often, Madeleine and I were disappointed. The images had dated, they jittered, and Marilyn Monroe had gotten terribly old. We were sad, this wasn't the film we had dreamed of, this wasn't the total film that we all carried around inside us, this film that we would have wanted to make, or, more secretly, no doubt, that we would have wanted to live.

hey man, congrats big time.  I don't know much about distribution, but when i worked at a movie gallery  (Southern Illinois) we carried all the after dark horror fest titles.

and a these got a ton of circulation, At least where i worked.

Well done
it's not the wrench, it's the plumber.

Hah, the funny thing is there isn't a character remotely like that in the film.  The overall design is good, but the poster makes it look like a J-horror film.

Seriously. Like a muay thai fighter.

I love when xixax peeps are doing big things. Ravi = doing it big.
Falling in love is the greatest joy in life. Followed closely by sneaking into a gated community late at night and firing a gun into the air.

BUMP

Should have bumped this earlier, but I totally forgot about this thread.  The Final premiered January 29th in limited theaters around the country.  Please go see it!

A glowing review from the venerable Dayna Newman "Slasher Diva" (Tampa).

QuoteThe Final was more of a thriller than a horror film but there were elements of horror.
In today's world this film is quite socially relevant.
The film was somewhat far fetched as far as minor plot holes but still maintained the believability or the "Yeah that could really happen appeal".The acting was up to par and the story was exciting from beginning to end.
Think "Mean Girls" meets "Hostel"..It wasn't very gory but there was enough brutality and humiliation going on to intrigue and satisfy the slasher/ gore fan.
The costumes the "nobody crowd vigilantes"were wearing were each filled with such Irony and symbolism,Such as the faceless girl mask "she was invisible in school except to the popular girls who tormented her",the clown mask "because he was a subject of ridicule and laughter" and the gas mask "because this undesirable didn't want to breathe the same air as the filth that had made he and the others lives so miserable as far back as grade school. .
Some parts are a little hard to watch but they don't take it too far,it stays within the realm of reality and that's what makes it so effective. We are privy to scenes of the "cool crowd" humiliating and physically abusing the "nobody Crowd" so when it all goes down it comes to a point where you as a viewer "or at least I" thought ,ok who is really in the wrong here? and when is enough ,enough?
Great film..My favorite of this years crop.
