i have heard great things about this documentary but im not having any luck tracking it down. i know it was never officially released but i was hoping someone had a copy. has anyone here seen it? and if so, do you know where i can get ahold of it? thanks for any help.

Check with the guy that runs this site (http://www.subcin.com/).  He has a copy that you can purchase or trade.  There are also a lot of other unreleased and underground movies in his collection, too. 

This is an awesome movie.  It was actually banned in the US for a couple of decades.  A very important piece of history!!

A student in one of my classes somehow found a copy to show for presentation so it definitely DOES exist on video but I guess must be rather rare. In any case, it's worth searching out for, as it's a great, great, and utterly insane documentary. Hard to believe it was made in the '60s considering the subject matter, the framing, the frankness. There aren't any villains, but the place just brings out the worst in people.
