I'm sry to bump this up but I just gotta say that this movie is sooo good. I thought Let's Go to Prison was a piece of crap, but Odenkirk really got it right with this one. It takes these naive characters and totally plays along with their stupidity, and never once goes where you would expect it to for this type of movie. Maybe I'm just a little movie happy because I haven't watched anything for a couple days and I'm pretty hungover but I find it hilarious and highly recommend it.

Aaw, just look at these faces. I just want to punch them.

It's one of the worst movies i've ever seen.

The only thing I remember about this is how bad it was.

Even from that quote I can tell there's a lot of yelling in this movie.

That's never a good thing.

right, but dont you find anything he directs to be really unfunny and flat and like the majority of the actors have been given line readings right before the take? he just kinda bugs me. i heart mr show, but david cross helped alot. i dunno. irrational perhaps...

Yeah dude, I don't find him very funny as a person either. Everything that worked against him in Let's Go to Prison came off as pretty entertaining to me in this one.

i watched lets go to prison because i was hoping to be masochistically entertained in the same way as this but there wasn't a single even vaguely amusing moment. and i gave my brain all the right elements to give it the benefit of the doubt. it was uncomfortably awful but it taught me that if you're a friend of will arnett, he'll do any project to try to save it for you long after you've grown stale.

Reelist, don't take no shit.  This movie was funny.
It's stupid as crap and not the best thing ever, but it definitely has its moments.

Also, say what you will about his movies (even HE hates Let's Go to Prison), Bob Odenkirk is one of the funniest men on the planet.  He is responsible for most things most people who are smart find funny.

Everyone who thinks Cross made Mr. Show is wrong.  Odenkirk is the genius... and he's a better comedic actor.

i just said i enjoyed cross more on mr show - whether he wrote it all or just showed up in sweatpants and ben affleck'd his way through its run
bo also reminds me of someone i know who i cant stand and acts/jokes in similar style but the completely unfunny version
or maybe he is hilarious too and i am too dumb to see it  :ponder:

Yeah, Bluej, I know you enjoyed parts of the movie.  I was responding to you not being a fan of Odenkirk.  I am a big supporter of his and a lot of people don't recognize how much he did for good comedy.

Cross was definitely funny on Mr. Show.

Bob Odenkirk wasn't involved in Futurama. That was his brother Bill, who started working for the show in their second season.
