Premise: An intense story about family secrets, friendship, trust, and betrayal where happy faces disguise ugly truths. I saw it the other day, and it's a lot better than the trailer makes it look, although it's not quite as good as it could have been (considering the subject matter). Elisha Cuthbert is really great in it, though. I interviewed her over the phone afterwards, and sorta fell in love with her in the process. :oops:

I didn't like it as much as GB did. But do agree that it could have been much better with a rewrite or two. I liked how everyone confided in Belle's character like a priest at confession, coming clean and telling their secrets because she's deaf and mute, but the film overall was playing out those secrets like an American Beauty ripoff.
I really hated it.
It's a poorly filmed melodrama with unlikeable and unbelievable characters. The only thing it has going for it are the gorgeous looks of the two female leads. Otherwise, it's pretentious and forgettable.
I enjoyed this a but it felt like Mac said a bit of a American Beauty ripoff. Still good to watch for Elisha.
